Commission Status - CLOSED

Unfortunately, I cannot take any new commissions at this time. I have too many (VERY PATIENT) people already waiting, and so much is going on in Real Life for me now that I have very little free time (even for myself).

In the future I will most probably be offering commissions through online auction sites. Rather than opening my books and taking on more than I can handle (and thus disappointing people) I will only offer them one at a time. I will post a notice on this site, on my LiveJournal, on my mailing list, and elsewhere if and when I ever decide to take them again.

Please note that if have accepted your commission already the following may not apply to you.

Pricing Information

I don't really have set prices (and note again I'm NOT offering commissions now), but I've been asked what my pricing range is... here's a ROUGH estimate.

- Sketch, Graphite: 1 figure, fairly detailed (shading etc.) in your own sketchbook: $15

- Name Badge, Graphite: 1 figure/headshot, incl. badge holder: pencil: $15

- Name Badge, Color: 1 figure/headshot: gouache, watercolor, or acrylic, incl. badge holder: $30

- Drawing, Graphite: 1 figure, very detailed (plus shading), on cardstock, 8-1/2" x 11": $50

- Drawing, Color: 1 figure, very detailed, on cardstock, w/Photoshop color, 8-1/2" x 11": $100
(incl. pencil original and color printout)

- Detailed backgrounds, additional characters, larger sizes, and/or very complex descriptions are extra. I don't mind doing them, but with my schedule, they do take a lot of time.

- Paintings: I have also used gouache, watercolor, colored pencil, and oil paint as well, but those would run in the area of $150 and up, with more for larger sizes, a lot of detail, etc.

- Pet Portraits: Prices vary, depending on size and medium chosen. Generally they start at $200 and up. Commissioner must supply several clear photographs which will be returned; hi-res scans are also acceptable.

- If you would like me to do a series of illustrations, a mural, or have a logo idea, product design, or any other project you think my work would be suitable for, please feel free to email me with ART in the subject line and we can discuss separate pricing.

- I retain all rights to the image, though you keep the original and may use it on your site or for a personal icon/avatar.

- All prices subject to change without notice (but not if I've already agreed on a price with you).

A Note About Subject Matter...

I can and have drawn everything from aquarium pumps, pickup trucks, and people to bikes, bird toys, and bananas, but I prefer to draw animals or creatures of fantasy when doing art trades or commissions. If I didn't work full-time already I'd be able to be more flexible, but that's the way it has to be for now (or until I win the lottery and can draw everything for everyone for free)!

Please note that while I had my share of life drawing classes in college and I do think the body is beautiful, and I firmly believe people should draw what pleases them, I will not accept commissions (or trades) of an adult nature. Thank you for understanding.
